About Dear Lois

A small shop with a soft spot for old things.

Dear Lois Vintage is a one-person shop based in Wollongong, NSW. Each piece is found by hand at markets, estate sales and op-shops, then cleaned up, photographed honestly, and listed one at a time.

Nothing here is mass-produced or reproduced. If a piece has a chip or a bit of patina, you'll see it in the photos — character and all.

Why "Dear Lois"?

Dear Lois is named after my grandmother.

Lois didn't take nonsense from anyone — she was strong, and she let you know it. A lot of people found her a bit prickly. I just found her wonderful. She was my nan, but really she was my friend.

I think that's where all this began. So much of what we hold onto comes from grandparents — the cut glass kept "for good", the little dish that lived on a shelf for fifty years, the trinkets quietly handed down, each with a story tucked inside. This shop is my way of saying thank you: to her, and to all the grandparents who fill our lives, and our cupboards, with things worth keeping.

So — dear Lois. This one's for you. x
